Tuilles
Egg whites 2
Sugar 65g/2oz
Butter 30g/1oz
Flour 40 g/1,5 oz
Salt
Preheat the oven to 200ºC/400ºF/Gas 6.
Melt the butter. Mix sugar and egg whites together and add the flour.
Mix in the melted butter and a pinch of salt. Spoon small heaps on a baking tray (lined with baking paper) and flatten with the back of a spoon. Bake for 5 minutes.
Roll into shape while still warm on a rolling pin. You can also bake in the form of stripes that you role into neat curls on the handle of a wooden spoon.
